Life-long musician Tisa Adamson returns to the Starlit Stage with original, acoustic, indie-folk music. This round she’s accompanied by Phil Jones (percussion), Nate Light (bass), and Ed Tree (guitar). This group is jam-packed with recording and producing heavyweights you won’t want to miss play together for some musical magic!
Phil Joneshas been a member of the LA music scene since 1969. His first band was Oskar, and was fronted by Lee Oskar who later formed War with Eric Burdon. His second LA band, Crabby Appleton, had a nationwide hit in 1970 with the single "Go Back ", and recorded two critically acclaimed albums for Elektra in 1970 and 1971. Since 1979, Phil has done extensive work with Tom Petty, both in studio and live touring, and shared stages with other legends such as Keith Richards, Robert Plant, Joe Walsh, Neil Young, Adam Sandler, Bobby Womack, Donovan, Eric Burdon, Leo Sayer, George Thorogood, and more. More recently he has played with Johnny Rivers, Pegi Young and The Survivors, and Timothy B. Schmit of the Eagles.For the last 18 years, Phil has been playing drums with the Waddy Wachtel Band, which includes Waddy Wachtel, Brett Tuggle (Fleetwood Mac), and Bernard Fowler (The Rolling Stones) & Blondie Chaplin (Brian Wilson, The Beach Boys).
Delaware-born and Los Angeles-based musician James (“Jim”)Wilson is a powerhouse singer and guitarist celebrated for his soulful vocals and blues-rock grit. Best known as a founding member of Mother Superior and a longtime guitarist for the Rollins Band, Wilson has collaborated with icons ranging from Lemmy, Queens of the Stone Age, and Alice Cooper to Sparks and producer Daniel Lanois. Today, alongside his ongoing work with Lanois, he fronts Motor Sister alongside Anthrax's Scott Ian, delivering high-energy rock driven by decades of stage and studio mastery.
It’s hard to find a musician around here who hasn’t worked with Ed Tree. Born in New Orleans and raised south Mississippi, his sound is influenced by Country music, The Blues and New Orleans R&B. He moved to California in the mid-70’s to pursue songwriting and expanded his career by becoming a studio guitarist, recording engineer, record producer and touring musician. Over the past 40+ years, Ed has produced over 200 albums, including 2 top five Billboard Blues chart releases, and has recorded and/or toured the world with Spencer Davis, Rita Coolidge, Al Stewart, Juice Newton, Booker T. Jones and others. He has played the New Orleans Jazz Fest and The Grand Ole Opry (with his band The Bum Steers) and had his songs on the Top 40 Billboard Country chart and a number one in Europe. Today, Ed keeps up a busy schedule as a producer and studio owner, and continues to write and perform as a member of the Tall Men Group.
